Is Heaven better than life on earth?
I think we can all give a resounding, YES!!! So much better!!!
But do we know why? What will be so different in Heaven?
How can it be any better than the expansive oceans, the majestic Redwood and Sequoia trees, the wonder of the Grand Canyon? Can it be more breathtaking than a school of dolphins, the Fjords of Norway, or the Coral Reefs of Australia?
Vacation season is just about over for most of us. We have traveled and seen amazing things. Some man-made, others God-made. It was fun, a great change of pace, refreshing and restful.
But now, we all have to get back to work. There are things to do, people to see. Life that must be lived, responsibilities that must be met.
Vacation is great! But it doesn’t last forever.
Heaven lasts forever. Heaven is beyond description.
An Hawaiian vacation cannot compare itself to Heaven.
In Heaven, the vacation never ends. It is ALWAYS restful, beautiful, peaceful, and joyful.
** And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors… ** Revelation 14:13
Heaven is vacation 24/7/365.
**…in thy presence is fullness of joy: at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. ** Psalm 16:11
Aren’t we constantly looking for some kind of pleasure? Isn’t the world looking for it even more? In Heaven, there will be no shortage of pleasure.
** They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures. ** Psalm 36:8
No more… worry, stress, anxiety, Covid, cancer, death, loss, heartache, poverty, hunger, thirst, injustice, kidnappings, murders, theft, insults, criticisms, miscommunication, rejection, discord, failure, physical distance from those we love, terrorists, suicide bombers, wars, invasions, atom bombs, lies, deceits, child warriors, plagues, drug wars, anarchy, corruption, prejudice, hate….
Just peace, joy, gladness, goodness, beauty, happiness, light, glory, color, rainbows, crystal clear rivers, ever green trees, more flowers than we ever imagined, warmth, comfort, welcome, acceptance…home. We will be home.
If we have someone waiting for us there, they are doing just fine. They are having a blast. They are happy. They are at peace. They wish we would hurry and get there.
Is Heaven better than life here on Earth? Absolutely. Let’s do some publicity for Heaven.
