**And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the father,) full of grace and truth.**
**For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ**John 1:14,17
The grace of God
We see many examples in the Bible where God chooses a certain person to show His glory in them. He chose Noah, Mary- the mother of Jesus Christ, and Steven, one of the first deacons. He demonstrated his power in them, through the manifestation of miracles. The only thing I see that helped God choose these people for a special task, was their faith, their unquestionable faith.
Also, the Bible tells us in Ephesians that those that believe in Christ as Savior are saved by grace. Undeserved favor that is given in abundance.
The three examples of Noah, Mary and Steven are people that maintain their faith during difficult trials at a high cost to each of them. God rewards their faith and courage with his grace.
I see it as a beautiful circle. God shows His creation grace, giving us understanding of salvation, we then live by faith in Him, as did these three. He then pours out more grace.
Today’s verses tell us that Jesus Christ is full of grace. It is his Essence. It is his being. It flows from Him like water from a fountain and the more that we draw near to Him, the more grace He showers upon us. It is this grace that makes Him glorious.
What is our responsibility for all of this abundant grace? To share this Grace with others.
It is Grace when we bless those that treat us badly.
It is Grace when we have peace in the middle of trials and problems.
It is Grace when we demonstrate love to the most unlovable.
What is freely received should be freely given.
So, let your faith and grace touch someone today.
The best thing that can happen is that you will receive more grace!
