Monday is a great time to start the week off right with a song of praise!
Do you ever have a song in your head that you can´t let go of? It just keeps popping up in your thoughts everywhere you go until you realize you need to hear it out loud so you can really get into some serious praise?
When our children were young and we had received an answer to a family prayer, we would celebrate with a praise dance. What is a praise dance you ask?
Well, for us, it was just a lot of yelling and shouting, running around the house and thanking God as loud as we could. Back then we lived in a house with a yard so our neighbors couldn´t hear all that ruckus. Not that we would have minded if they did, but this time of praise was just for us. It was a recognition that something specific we had asked God to take care of was taken care of and we wanted our kids to know that God hears us. So, we made it loud and fun so it would hopefully be ingrained in their minds forever that God is on their side.
Now that our kids are grown and have their own families and traditions, praise dances has more or less disappeared in our home.
But lately, we have just seen so many amazing answers from God that we have resurrected the praise dance! Let me tell you, it is a hysterical thing to watch a couple of grandparents run around the house and shout and thank and praise the God of answered prayer!!
However your family praises God in a big way, I encourage you to let it rip!! Pull out all the stops and get up and dance or whatever you do to really praise Him with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. God will love it and it will set the tone for an amazing day!
